846. Plant Research Methods:
Introduction to important methods and concepts of research in plant science. Topics include selection of relevant research topics, literature reviews, grant writing, environmental and laboratory instrumentation, data interpretation and error analysis, writing manuscripts, scientific ethics, and overview of statistical and experimental procedures. Two hours rec. and two hours lab a week.

951. Horticulture Graduate Seminar
Class instruction on successful reporting of scientific research results through oral and poster presentations; coping with stage fright is also addressed. Students present results from their research in departmental seminar.
