Dear Turf Scientists,
On behalf of the faculty and staff of the Michigan State University Turfgrass Science Team I would like to invite you to this year’s NCERA-192 meeting to be held June 15-17, 2009 at the Henry Center for Executive Development (meeting) and Candlewood Suites (lodging) on the campus of Michigan State University. Rooms can be reserved by contacting Candlewood Suites at (517)-351-8181. For the group rate please mention the meeting name “Crop and Soil Sciences”. The rate for a studio suite is $94 and a 1-bedroom suite is $124. The room release date for the hotel is May 14, please reserve prior to this date to guarantee the group rate. The conference registration fee is $75 and covers lunch and dinner on Tuesday. Our meeting location at the Henry Center includes a free standing break service throughout the morning that includes breakfast items and snacks. Our main meeting will be on Tuesday and Wednesday morning at the Henry Center. Tuesday afternoon we will visit the Hancock Turfgrass Research Center and the MSU Campus for tours of the athletic field facilities.
June in Michigan is usually wonderful weather for playing golf. If anyone is interested in playing golf on Monday please contact me at frankk@msu.edu or (517)-355-0271 x 1147 to make arrangements.
