These Grounds Maintenance workshops are a stimulating way to learn more about turfgrass, shrubs, ornamentals, and flowers. By attending this workshop, Kansas commercial pesticide applicators can receive recertification credit hours towards their applicator license.* These workshops are packed with the latest research-based information that you can use to improve your landscape and enhance your business and productivity. Attending one of these workshops is a great way to solve some of your landscape management problems, gain productivity tips, and network with other horticulture professionals. This workshop is being offered in four locations throughout the state of Kansas; Newton, Lawrence, Salina and Olathe. ***Olathe and Newton workshops are full at this time. If you wanted to attend in Olathe or Newton feel free to attend one of the classes in Salina or Lawrence.
Several Extension Specialists will speak on the latest research information and landscape topics including: spring and summer turf care, advances in weed management, common insects found in turf and ornamentals, common diseases found in turf and ornamentals, new advances in the control of turf and ornamental insects and diseases, safety training for horticulture professionals, choosing and caring for annual and perennial ornamentals in the Midwest, and identification and management of annual and perennial ornamental grasses. This is an easy way to get answers to your questions from K-State turf and landscape researchers. We hope to see you there.
*Attendees can receive 3 credit hours in 3A and 4 credit hours in 3B towards their KS Commercial Pesticides Applicator recertification.
*This workshop will take place from 7:30am to 4:00pm. Registration is $35.00. This year lunch is included in the registrations fees, along with the morning and afternoon snacks.
