Undergraduate Turf Program
K-State's golf course management option, developed in cooperation with the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, is truly innovative. The curriculum includes coursework in turfgrass management, communications, business, and hospitality management. Students complete two internships at outstanding golf courses nationwide, or even worldwide. In recent years students have interned at Augusta National, Shinnecock Hills, Cypress Point, St. Andrews (Scotland) and Valderrama (Spain), among many others. Graduates will be well-prepared to pursue a career as a golf course superintendent or a general manager of a golf/country club.
